A new way to decorate is popular on TikTok. People are decorating the inside of their fridges. They are using cups, bowls, flowers, and other things to make their fridges look nice. It is called “fridgescaping”, a combination of the words landscaping and refrigerator.

Lynzi Judish, started posting pictures of her fridge on TikTok in May. Her videos have over 1 million views on the social media platform. She uses fairy lights and old plates to make her food look nice. She even makes themes for her fridge, like a TV show she likes. She said, “It’s like decorating a table, but with the fridge.” She wants to make something boring look beautiful.

The idea of decorating the fridge isn’t new—a woman named Kathy Sue Perdue wrote about it in 2011. She said it’s easy to decorate your fridge with nice bowls and a pretty jug. “It makes me happy to see pretty food in my fridge.”

Some people don’t like the idea of decorating their fridges, however. They say it’s a waste of space and can make food go bad. But Lynzi said that decorating her fridge helps her throw away less food and eat healthier. She pays more attention to what she has in her fridge.
