I’m Melody, an ESL teacher from Canada. On this website, you will find free lesson plans for A1 to C2 level learners. They can be used by students for self-study or by teachers. The structure is simple and encourages students to practice all aspects of learning English. The format is as follows:

1. Read the lesson title and guess what it will be about.
2. Review vocabulary that will be important in the lesson.
3. Read the article out-loud. Teachers can correct pronunciation or students can listen to the embedded audio.
4. Summarize the main idea of the article.
5. Answer some questions out-loud.
6. Write an answer to another question.
7. Watch a video related to the topic and answer a related question.

The lessons are typically 30 to 45 minutes in length. Teachers can add their own supplementary material to make them longer, if they wish. Speaking and writing questions can be made more complex: “You have 5 minutes to write 3 to 5 sentences”, for example.
